Product Warranty
FiberBuilt Umbrellas, Inc. warranties their fiberglass ribbed and all wood umbrellas, as well as all bases, cabanas and upholstery work for a period of one year, to the original purchaser, against defects in materials and workmanship. Additionally, the fiberglass support ribs are warranted for three full years.
For warranty to apply, all umbrellas must be secured within bases of weights equal to or greater than those specified.
Though our umbrellas have successfully passed wind tests up to 53 mph, FiberBuilt does not recommend allowing umbrellas to remain open during storms. Customer is responsible for taking the umbrella down when winds reach unsafe conditions. Normal care and maintenance of products is required to insure years of problem free use.
Should repairs be necessary within the warranty period, FiberBuilt Umbrellas, Inc. will replace or repair(at its discretion) the defective ribs at no extra charge.
This warranty does not cover the umbrella pole, crank or tilt. This warranty does not cover acts of God, abuse, misuse, or any vandalism incurred to the umbrella frame after purchase, nor does it cover customer's own material. This warranty does not provide coverage or reimbursement for loss of use, time, inconvenience or other damages resulting from and defect in the product.
We were looking for a durable beach umbrella and choose this model due to the fiberglass ribs and Sunbrella fabric. We've used the umbrella for a few weeks now and are pretty happy with it. The fabric fit is a little loose so it flaps a little more than I would like but the material is thick and totally blocks the sun which is great for a beach umbrella. The screw attaching the ferrule to the pole arrived with a pretty big burr on it and caused a cut on my hand while taking the umbrella out of the box so I had to grind that off but fortunately I took care of it before it ripped the fabric. We ordered the storage bag for the umbrella also and the material is the same as the umbrella so it should hold up for a long time. Unfortunately the bag is 12" too long for the umbrella so if you use the shoulder strap the bag drags on the ground (I'm 6'1"). The drawstring on the bag is sewn a little too tight also so sooner or later the threads are going to break or pull out so unless they improve the bag design and manufacture I wouldn't waste my money on that. We also purchased the screw in sand spike which works pretty well but it is only made of PVC plastic pipe and I am curious to see how long it lasts before the screw end breaks off. I'm not sure I would spend that [$] again. Overall I would rate the umbrella an 8, the bag a 5, and the sand spike a 6. Hope this helps.[...]
Great umbrella that seems to be built to last many years of use. We used for an entire week at the beach and had no problems.
