Using my fireplace has provided me with the comforting feeling I need when I return from my radiation therapy. Not having to do alot of clean up when using the gel fuel is perfect. We were not allowed a regular fireplace but wanted the extra warmth. The gel fireplace provides the warmth and atmosphere we desired, we have an electric fireplace in the living room but do not like the sound of the motor running, with the gel we listen to the crackle of the fire, a much preferred sound.

I use this product with the Jensen Deluxe log set. Three of these cans produce very realistic flames with a crackling sound similiar to real wood burning fires. It has a faint alcohol smell but this problem is easily solved by opening the fireplace flue. The fumes will go up the chimney provided you have a working fireplace, of course. In my experience, the cans burn really well for two hours and begin to fade and finally disappear after 2-1/2 hours.

If you have a gel fuel fireplace, Jensen Real Flame is definitely the brand of fuel to use. It burns cleaner and longer, plus there's no unpleasant odor when the can burns out. There's no comparison between Real Flame and the other brands. Now I'm finally enjoying my fireplace!
The fireplace is great.The gel fuel looks like a real logs burning and crackling noise sounds real.Friends can't beleive that this is not a real fireplace!
I don't have any other product to compare the gel fuel to, all I know is I LOVE the fireplace and have used alot of gel fuel........I wish it would last longer, but it still is good with the crackle and sound and heat.......
The gel is easy to light and easy to put out if necessary. They work very good with little odor.
